Traveling Carpenter
Colony Display is seeking an experienced Traveling Carpenter to install retail fixtures, cabinetry, and architectural millwork for projects across the United States. This hands-on position is ideal for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in precision, quality workmanship, and delivering exceptional finished installations for nationally recognized brands.
Candidates should have extensive experience with cabinet installation, finish carpentry, and millwork, along with the ability to travel nationwide and work in a variety of retail environments.
Responsibilities
- Install retail fixtures, cabinetry, and architectural millwork according to project specifications.
- Perform cabinet installation and finish trim work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation plans.
- Ensure every installation meets Colony Display’s quality standards and is customer-ready.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout each project.
- Communicate project issues, delays, or material shortages to the appropriate team members.
- Submit daily project updates, including photographs documenting installation progress.
- Travel throughout the United States and work flexible schedules based on project requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience installing cabinets, finish trim, and architectural millwork.
- Experience installing retail fixtures and custom display systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and installation plans.
- Proficiency with a wide variety of hand tools and power tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accountability.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel extensively.
- Smartphone capable of submitting daily reports and project photos.
