Second Shift Fabrication Supervisor

Schedule: Full-Time, Second Shift
Overtime: Additional evening and weekend hours as needed based on production demand


About the Role

Colony Display Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Second Shift Fabrication Supervisor to lead evening production operations across both our metal and wood fabrication departments. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and operational excellence while supporting a growing manufacturing operation.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably within both metal and wood fabrication environments. This position requires someone who enjoys working on the production floor, coaching employees, solving problems in real time, and maintaining efficient production flow across multiple departments.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise second shift operations across Metal Fabrication and Wood Fabrication departments.
  • Drive daily production performance to meet safety, quality, schedule, and output goals.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on equipment operation, manufacturing processes, quality standards, productivity expectations, and workplace safety.
  • Partner with first shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions and operational continuity.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, production bottlenecks, and material flow throughout each shift.
  • Maintain an active presence on the production floor while assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Enforce company policies, attendance standards, and employee accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and eliminate manufacturing waste.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Shipping teams to maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in either metal fabrication or wood fabrication is required.
  • Experience leading both metal and wood fabrication operations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, production workflows, and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing software is preferred.
