Maintenance Technician
Colony Display is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain the performance, safety, and reliability of our facilities and equipment. This hands-on role is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and supporting the day-to-day operation of our manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and takes pride in solving problems quickly while maintaining a safe, organized workplace.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
- Repair or replace electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC components as needed.
- Complete minor construction and facility repairs, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and structural maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and upgrades of equipment and facility systems.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours or weekend service when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory and order replacement parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Assist in training and mentoring other maintenance technicians.
- Safely lift and move equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, kneeling, bending, reaching, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or vocational training is preferred.
- Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job responsibilities.

- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective time management with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with coworkers, contractors, and vendors.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to safely perform demanding maintenance work.
