As our company continues to grow, we’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager who excels at building strategic relationships, creating new opportunities, and delivering long-term business growth.
The Opportunity
This is a true hunter role, built for someone who enjoys finding new opportunities as much as closing them. You’ll develop relationships with brands, designers, procurement teams, and retail decision-makers while presenting tailored solutions that showcase Colony Display’s expertise in acrylic fabrication, plastic displays, design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Success in this position means owning your territory, influencing strategy, and consistently generating new business—not waiting for opportunities to come to you.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within retail, QSR, hospitality, consumer brands, and related industries.
- Create strategic account plans that generate profitable long-term growth.
- Present Colony Display’s acrylic fabrication, plastic display, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities with confidence and professionalism.
- Manage requests for proposals (RFPs), quotations, proposals, and complex sales opportunities from start to finish.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting process using Salesforce CRM.
- Stay informed on display materials, sustainability initiatives, fabrication technologies, and industry trends that influence customer purchasing decisions.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive business development or sales experience within acrylic fabrication, plastic displays, retail fixtures, store environments, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success developing and closing new business opportunities.
- Strong strategic, consultative selling abilities with executive-level communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Experience using CRM software, with Salesforce preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- A reputation for being resourceful, results-driven, and conducting business with integrity.
